Watch live: Trump to host Senate Republicans for Rose Garden lunch

President Trump will host Senate Republicans at the White House on Tuesday afternoon for a lunch in the newly renovated Rose Garden.

The event comes a day after demolition crews began the process of tearing down part of the East Wing to begin construction on Trump’s planned ballroom. It also comes after Senate Democrats blocked the GOP-led continuing resolution (CR) from advancing for the 11th time as the government shutdown nears the third-week mark.

The “Rose Garden Club” lunch is scheduled to begin at noon EDT.
