Trump warns Hamas to agree to peace plan by Sunday or risk ‘HELL’

President Trump on Friday gave a new Sunday deadline to Hamas to agree to his peace plan and end the war with Israel.

Trump warned Hamas it is the “last chance” to secure a deal or risk “all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” the president posted on his social media site TruthSocial. He gave Hamas a 6 p.m. EDT Sunday deadline, which is 1 a.m. Monday in Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Trump unveiled earlier this week a 20-point plan for ending the war between Israel and Hamas and rebuilding the Gaza Strip. The first part is a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, with the U.S.-designated terror group prepared to hand over hostages it kidnapped from Israel during its Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack, including the 20 still alive and the bodies of 28 others.

Egyptian and Qatari officials transmitted the plan to Hamas for review, and the militant group is planning to respond “positively,” a source familiar with the negotiations told the Times of Israel.

Although, the BBC reported that a Hamas military commander in Gaza has indicated he does not agree to the new plan.

Trump’s plan calls for Hamas to lay down its arms, leave the Gaza Strip and abdicate any role in a future government in Gaza. If a ceasefire is reached, humanitarian aid is supposed to surge into the strip to alleviate a crushing humanitarian crisis. Famine has been identified in certain parts of the area.

Trump said that even if Hamas does not agree, his plan for reforming and reconstructing Gaza could move forward, with an as-yet-developed International Stabilization Force taking over security in areas determined “terror-free” by the Israeli military.

Israel is already conducting military operations in Gaza City, and if Hamas refuses the ceasefire, it would allow Israel to push forward on expanding its operations.

“THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump posted.
