Kevin Spacey calls for release of Epstein files

Actor Kevin Spacey is demanding the release of all the files and names associated with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein’s case.

In a Tuesday morning post on the social platform X, Spacey called for the release of the files, adding that the “truth can’t come soon enough.”

“Release the Epstein files. All of them,” he wrote. “For those of us with nothing to fear, the truth can’t come soon enough.

“I hate to make this about me — but the media already has,” he added.

In January 2024, more than 150 names associated with Epstein were released as part of a lawsuit against his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, which was filed in 2015. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for assisting Epstein in his alleged sex trafficking operation involving underage girls.

Powerful political figures and entertainers, including former President Clinton, President Trump, Prince Andrew, Michael Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz were listed in the files along with Spacey.

Spacey, as well as many others listed in the files, have repeatedly denied allegations of working with Epstein and Maxwell.

Spacey’s call for the files’ release comes after the Trump administration’s doubling down on findings released last week that concluded Epstein did not keep a client list and that his 2019 death was a suicide.

The 65-year-old Academy Award winner has faced his own slew of controversy in recent years. In 2017, he was fired from the Netflix show “House of Cards” following accusations he sexually harassed actors and crew members.

Spacey was also charged criminally in 2022 by English prosecutors with sexually assaulting three men in separate incidents in 2005, 2008 and 2013, with additional charges later added. A jury later found Spacey not guilty.

Spacey was also found not liable for battery in a civil lawsuit brought against him by actor Anthony Rapp, who has alleged Spacey made a sexual advance on him in the 1980s.
