Watch live: Speaker Johnson discusses global threats

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is delivering an address on foreign policy Monday at Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank, in advance of the upcoming NATO summit in Washington.

The Hudson Institute has a stance favoring more active engagement on the world stage than that of former President Trump, a NATO skeptic. Johnson backed this year’s support to Ukraine, with an implicit commitment to NATO members, despite pressure to back down from some other Republican members.

Johnson is scheduled to speak at 2:15 p.m. EDT.
