Donald Trump’s former “fixer” lawyer Michael Cohen finished testifying Monday in the “hush money” trial against the former president in Manhattan Supreme Court, and the prosecution rested.
On the stand, Cohen admitted to “stealing” $60,000 from the Trump Organization in 2016. His former attorney Robert Costello, a defense witness, was then called to testify and was still on the stand when proceedings ended for the day.
Presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a $130,000 payment Cohen made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
