The former solicitor general of Texas and architect of the state’s pro-life Heartbeat Act is representing former President Donald J. Trump in his ballot access appeal to the United States Supreme Court.
On Friday, January 5, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear Trump’s appeal of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to deny him ballot access based on his “disqualification” from office for “engaging in insurrection” in reference to the January 6 Capitol riot.
