Former President Donald Trump believes one of his Republican opponents in the 2024 presidential race will soon offer him an endorsement.

Sharing an article about Vivek Ramaswamy’s decision to halt television ads to Truth Social, Trump speculated over his opponent's next move.

“He will, I am sure, Endorse me,” the former president wrote.

Trump continued, however, by quelling rumors that Ramaswamy may altogether abandon the presidential bid, saying “But Vivek is a good man, and is not done yet!”
Ramaswamy has been a staunch supporter of Trump in the past. This month, he reacted to the decision to remove Trump from Colorado’s Republican primary ballot by vowing to remove his own name.

"I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie and Nikki Haley do the same immediately – or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country," Ramaswamy said.

Speculation is growing, however, that Ramaswamy could join the Trump ticket as a running mate. Trump himself teased such an idea in August, saying of Ramaswamy, “He’s a young guy. He’s got a lot of talent. He’s a very, very, very intelligent person. I tell ya, I think he’d be very good. I think he’s really distinguished himself.”
Ramaswamy has repeatedly sparred with fellow GOP hopefuls, including Nikki Haley. He and X owner Elon Musk torched Haley after she announced a desire to prevent social media platforms from allowing anonymous accounts.

Ramaswamy also jabbed at Haley’s ties to the defense industry by holding up a legal pad with the words “Nikki = corrupt” on it at the most recent Republican debate. The move came as he defended himself against accusations of having a “woman problem.”
Trump remains the favorite among conservative voters with a commanding polling lead.
