Republican mayor seeks US Senate nomination, supports Trump … – NJ Spotlight News

The list of candidates vying for embattled U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez’s seat continues to grow, with Mendham Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner saying she will run for the Republican nomination.
Serrano Glassner is a two-term mayor of Mendham Borough in Morris County and served in the Small Business Administration under former President George W. Bush. She casts herself as a conservative and staunch supporter of Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump was a president who had phenomenal policies,” she said. “If you compare those policies to how the country was then, and look at what’s going on now with the economy, with the increase in crime, with the fentanyl pipeline that has been opened up in the southern border, things are very different, and it’s not the same as when he was president.”
