Former President Donald Trump on Monday visited the New Hampshire secretary of state’s office to file to run for the 2024 New Hampshire primary.
Secretary of State David Scanlan said Trump is the first candidate in history who has served as president to file for the primary in person.
“It’s an honor. This is a very important place, a very important state,” Trump said.
“There’s an incredible history and an incredible feeling about New Hampshire in politics,” Trump later added.
The period for candidates to file to appear on the ballot closes on Friday.
