Watch live: Jeffries gives remarks on Day 21 of shutdown

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) will speak to reporters Tuesday afternoon as the government shutdown stretches on with no end in sight.
Senate Democrats again blocked the GOP-led stopgap funding bill from passing on Monday, marking the 11th failed vote. The lapse in funding has now entered its third week and Jeffries has urged President Trump to get more involved with spending talks and to spend less time on the golf course or sharing videos generated with artificial intelligence.
The House Democratic leader has also slammed his Republican counterparts for refusing to negotiate.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
