Watch live: Trump gives remarks to UN General Assembly

President Trump returns to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday to promote his view of the global order and put forward a new vision that rests on his “America First” agenda.
The president’s message is likely to be cheered by the U.N.’s critics, such as Israel, who have counted on U.S. support to push back on what it characterizes as bias and double standards within the international body. It also comes as the Trump administration has ruled against recognizing a Palestinian state.
“The president will also touch upon how globalist institutions have significantly decayed the world order, and he will articulate his straightforward and constructive vision for the world,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Monday.
His speech comes less than a week after former national security adviser Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) was confirmed as the U.S. ambassador to the U.N.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
